Marina Paulenka, a photographer and festival art director based in Croatia.
Marina Paulenka was born in Vinkovci, Croatia, in 1985.
She has a masters degree in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Graphic Arts, University of Zagreb, and a masters degree in Photography at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Visual Artists and she has exhibited in Croatia and internationally.
She is the founder and director of the International Photography Festival Organ Vida, president of the Organ Vida Photography Association and a co producer of Open Show Zagreb.
Organ Vida is the biggest and most relevant festival of contemporary photography in the southeast European region which promotes the work of emerging and relevant international photographers and reflects upon the medium of photography in a wider social context.
In her dual role as a photographer and festival organizer, Marina has had the opportunity and pleasure of curating photo exhibitions, meeting artists and taking part in many masterclasses, portfolio reviews and discourses on current trends in contemporary photography in numerous countries. She is interested in long-term documentary projects with socially relevant stories which address contemporary issues and inner author engagement.
