Malcolm Dickson is a writer, curator and organiser. He is the Director of Street Level Photoworks, which ‘provides inspiring encounters in photography for all; a place that is embedded locally and connected internationally; a creative setting to make, engage with, and buy photography’. He curates and co-ordinates a programme which embraces diverse genres of photography. This is extended through a network of local and regional venues, and with national and international partners. Street Level are a key partner in the Season of Photography in Scotland, an which links photography based events across the country.

Recent exhibitions curated by him include new Scottish work at LAME Gallery as part of Le Photographie Marseille; for Uncertain States Annual as part of Photomonth East London Festival; ‘A Window on Glasgow’, in Rostov-on-Don; exhibitions by Yohanne Lamoulere and Franck Pourcel; ‘Tabula Rasa’ for Kaunas Photography Gallery; ‘Surface Tension: New Process Based Photography’, and ‘Maud Sulter – Passion’ (co-curated).
